"Labour" Day

While I was sitting reading the Word this morning, my husband got out of bed and greeted me with 'good morning, happy labour day!'. I thought he had lost it, ha ha. I told him it wasn't labour day and he told me that it is the day to celebrate the day I went into labour for Benjamin, 21 yrs ago today. (My husband is a nut).
But he's right, I did go into labour 21 years ago, early in the morning. I laboured to bring this child into the world all that day and into the night. The next morning, Oct. 17th at 6:30 am he was born by emergency c-section. It was a labour for both of us. Both of our hearts stopped at one point and it was pretty scary. But the Lord brought us through.
And now, says Jehovah who formed Me from the womb to be His servant, to bring Jacob again to Him, Though Israel is not gathered, yet I shall be glorious in the eyes of Jehovah, and My God shall be My strength.
Isa 49:5

I believe that God, who forms us all in the womb, forms us to be the people He wants us to be. He has a purpose for our lives. He knew, on that 'labour day' of mine so many years ago, what He wanted Benjamin to do with his life for Him. He called Benjamin to a life dedicated to Him when he was very young. He had plans for him and has plans for us all.

It's sad to think that so many people don't understand that. They feel that God doesn't care, that He is separated from them. But that is not true. As He is forming each one of us, He already knows the plan He has for your life. Can you trust Him with that plan? Are you at least a bit curious to know what it is? If you are, why not ask Him today? When we go to the Father and turn our lives over to Him and ask Him to reveal His will for us, He will. He is faithful and true. He will never disappoint you.

Jer 29:11-13 For I know the purposes which I am purposing for you, says Jehovah; purposes of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you shall call on Me, and you shall go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you shall seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.
