He Sees You

"Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows." - Matthew 10:29-31

Sometimes when things are going poorly in our life we can get the feeling that no one cares and that even God Himself has forgotten us. But God has given us these verses to assure us that He is always there and that He sees everything that is happening to us. He sees and He cares. You are precious to Him. He loves you.

God cares for every part of His creation. He cares for the even the tiniest part. He cares for the sparrows, the plain little brown birds that people just overlook because they're not the brilliant red cardinals or the vivid blue of a blue jay. They don't have the black jackets and the cute call of a chick-a-dee, no, they're just plain little brown birds. They're not that important to bird watchers. They're plentiful so they become common sights and really nothing special to anyone..... except to God. God cares about them. He cares so much about them that He watches over them and knows when something happens to one of them. 

Sometimes we can feel like those plain little sparrows. Sometimes we get our eyes on other people and we compare ourselves to them and find ourselves wanting. But God doesn't. He loves you. God doesn't see you as something to be overlooked. He doesn't see you as plain and ordinary. You are His creation. YOU have been formed and fashioned into His likeness. You are something beautiful that He took the time to create. He made your eyes the colour they are. He wanted your nose to be made just the way it is. He gave you the texture of your hair and has even taken the time to count each one. 

God loves you. God sees you. You may feel overlooked by those around you but God sees you. He cares for you. You are precious to Him.
