UP!

I have just finished watching the cartoon movie "UP" for the third time. It's a wonderful story about life and adventure. In it, one of the main characters dreams of some day going to Paradise Falls in South America on a wild adventure. She meets and marries a man who shares her dream but through circumstances she never gets to go there and her husband is left with the thought that he has let her down.

Without telling you all of the story, I will tell you that at the end of the movie he finds out that his wife had never felt like he had let her down or disappointed her in anyway. Even though she had never got to see her big dream come true, she still lived a life of one adventure after another. It was all how you looked at it. What could have appeared to be regular ordinary events in a life, she saw as the fulfillment of dreams and adventures lived.

Some people could watch it and think of all the things in their own life they have never done but I choose to watch it and think of all the things I have done. I have lived a life of adventure because I chose to see the excitement in it. I have married, had children, had dreams and seen dreams come true, owned pets, lived in various places, traveled, met some very interesting people, had opportunities to minister and have loved and been loved. Who could ask for anything more?

Jeremiah 29:11 says "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." God planned out your life even before you were born. He has a plan for you and it is anything but boring. Living your life for God will always be a life of adventure and excitement. You will always be on the way 'up' if your eyes are focused on God and not on the negative things that come into your life. Remember it is all how you look at life. Will you choose to see the positive or the negative? Will you see the rain clouds or the rainbow? It's your choice.
