Super Woman!

Everyone needs a superhero to look up to. We all grew up with stories of superheros who could leap tall buildings, stop raging locomotives and shoot lasers or webs to stop the bad guys. Eventually we stopped believing in superheros and left our childhood behind. But I think we still need superheros to believe in and I think we can all be a superhero if we try.

Proverbs 31:8-9 says: "Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy."

If we stand up for the oppressed and give a voice to the needy we will be a superhero. If we defend the defenseless and speak up against injustice we will be a superhero. Being a superhero means that sometimes you have to stand alone because not everyone around you is a superhero and will stand with you. It may seem like you are the only one giving a voice to the voiceless but keep doing it. Keep defending, keep speaking up, keep protecting and you will be a superhero.
