Summer Joys

cotton curtains blowing in the wind
home made quilts on the bed
the smell of wild roses on the hot summer breeze
the sound of heat locusts and bees buzzing
a glass of iced tea
the sound of ice cubes swirling in a glass
sitting on the swinging chair
picking black berries, strawberries, blueberries...
the feel of soft grass under my feet
the smell of Noxzema because you got too much sun
straw hats
bubbling brooks
timothy straws
camp fires
lazy dogs laying in the shade
open windows
clothes hanging on a clothes line
walking the beach
sitting outside under the tree til dark
ice cream
cool sheets on the bed
flowers
frogs croaking in the pond
dandelions
picnics
sand between your toes
sandals
cotton skirts
strawberry shortcake.....
