I'm Sorry

How many times in our lives do we come to a cross roads so to speak and realize just how much our lives will change depending on what road we take?I don't think we do truly understand the significance until we can look back afterwards and realize if only I had chosen the other path my situation or my very life would be different.
I have had the opportunity many times in my life to admit my guilt, ask for forgiveness and say I am sorry and sometimes I am sad to say I chose the wrong path and either blamed someone else or pretended that nothing happened. That pathway always lead me down the wrong path and creates more problems.
You see Satan wants those two little words 'I'm sorry' to be the hardest in the world for us to say. He knows how powerful they are. He knows that if we say them, we not only repair damage we have done but we ourselves are released from the prison of pride, anger and rebellion. But if we choose not to say them we stay locked up and it eats away at us and eventually will change who we are.
We can all have misunderstandings come up in our lives but I have found in my experience that it is best to repent quickly, say your sorry and mean it. Keep short accounts with others and with the Lord. Otherwise Satan can lock you up and your life will never have the freedom God intended it to have in the first place.
Did you know that some of the biggest feuds over the centuries have started over the smallest of incidents? You've all heard the adage 'don't make a mountain out of a molehill'. It is a wise saying. When something comes up, a slight is given, a harsh word spoken, ask yourself 'will this really matter a year from now? Five years from now?' Many of the things that we get riled up over really are not that significant and we cause ourselves a lot of needless stress.
My final words on this subject would be: live a humble life, you will never know it all and there will always be people who hurt you or you cause hurt to. Practice forgiveness and asking for forgiveness often. If possible choose to live at peace with all people. 2Co 13:11 Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.
