Did You Know?

We often say to one another catchy little phrases like 'smile God loves you' or simply 'God loves you', but do we really believe it? It's easy to believe that God loves someone else but sometimes it's hard to get our head wrapped around the idea that God loves us; that the God of all creation loves me, personally. Wow! That is an amazing thought and it's true.

Sometimes we can feel so unworthy; so insignificant. But God's Word tells us that it is not by our own righteousness that we are saved but by His (2 Tim. 1:9). There is nothing that we can do to merit salvation and eternal life. We can't earn it or ever be good enough (Eph. 2:9). It is a free gift from a loving Father who wants to have a relationship with each of us (Eph.2:8). He is so amazing!

Did you know how important you are to God? He numbered every single hair on your head, not just how many you have but each hair has it's own number. He coloured your eyes and formed every part of you (Jeremiah 1:5). He loves you. You are His creation. You are not an accident or a mistake. You were chosen to be born at the exact time that you were. You were meant to be. You are precious to God.

He has a plan for your life which He laid out before you were even born (Psalm 139:16)! He knows your beginning to your end. He knows everything about you, including your deepest thoughts and desires. He knows you better than anyone else here on earth and still He loves you more than anyone else ever could. There is nothing hidden from Him. He sees everything and yet...He still loves you!

There is no pretense with God. He sees past the masks that we put on. He sees our heart and knows the intents of our heart and still, He loves us (1 Kings 8:39). Did you know that? Did you really know that? Think about it: God loves YOU! What an amazing, mind bending thought that the God of the universe loves us! So smile...God loves you! Please take a couple of moments to read over these Scriptures and allow the God Who loves you to speak through them to your heart. God bless.

1 Kings 8:39 then hear from heaven, your dwelling place. Forgive and act; deal with each man according to all he does, since you know his heart (for you alone know the hearts of all men),
