I had the most amazing thing happen to me this morning and I just had to share it here. We have just finished our 4th Annual Clam Point Women's Conference and had Sister Anita Green as our key speaker. She taught us seven words for praise that are found in the Word of God. I think the main point that I took from the weekend was that we usually praise the Lord in a way that we are comfortable but He is asking us to praise Him in the way that He wants to be praised. Each of the seven words were ways that He wants to be praised.
After the weekend I took a good look at my walk with the Lord and to be honest I have spent most of my life always praying with a little bit of praising and I felt the Lord wanted me to have a healthier balance in my spiritual life. So I determined that I would start each day with praise and I have. Anita had told us that at first we might have trouble thinking of words to praise Him with but to keep on practicing and that they would come naturally.
This morning I woke up and as I laid there in my bed I started to praise my Lord. The first three or four words I had to intentionally think of but the Lord knew my heart and knew that I desired to praise Him. As I continued to praise Him I found the words started coming so quickly that I didn't have to think anymore I just kept seeing the words the Lord wanted me to praise Him with. It was like they were typed and I could see them in my mind clearly. It was like He was saying 'now daughter, use this one, now this one, you're doing good'.
What a wonderful time with my Lord. He is worthy to be praised. He is my Redeemer, my Rock, my Shelter, my Provider, He is Jehovah Jireh, He alone is worthy, He alone is the Lover of my soul. He will uphold me, He will defend me, He will never leave me or forsake me. He is beautiful, He is majestic, He is wonderful! Praise the Lord! "Let everything that hath breath, praise the Lord" Psalm 150:6! Praise the Lord.
Thank you for sharing This is beautiful and touched my heart
