I can remember my mother making beautiful bran muffins full of raisins and how delicious they tasted when they were still warm from the oven and smothered with a generous portion of butter. Top that off with a tall glass of cold milk and you've got a perfect breakfast or anytime snack. I made some this morning and the looks of them and smell immediately brought me back to my mother's kitchen. ***Note: I added a dollop of molasses to my muffins which is not listed in the ingredients. It probably was 1/8 of a cup.
